Every child is different. Your options should be too.

You spoke up. We listened. Two Cubby options are back.

Over the past several months, we heard the same thing from families, clinicians, and medical suppliers (DME): one Cubby configuration didn't always match what a child actually needed. Some families needed the full Cubby Bed with the Dream Hub Accessory. Others needed the bed on its own. A single setup was getting in the way of the right fit.

So we made a change.

Starting today, the Cubby Bed comes in two ordering options. The right one depends on your child's needs and what your clinician documents as medically necessary.

What's available now

The Cubby Bed is the bed your family knows. It pairs a galvanized, powder-coated steel frame that holds up to 1,200 lbs with durable fabric walls, breathable mesh panels, and reinforced zippers, all designed to support a safer sleep environment. For many children, this is exactly what their clinician recommends, and now it can be requested that way.

The Cubby Bed + Dream Hub Accessory adds an integrated accessory designed to support a calming environment and ongoing awareness. Customize lighting and sound with pre-loaded options or stream your own music via Bluetooth, and use the built-in camera and microphone for monitoring. These features are designed to support a calmer environment for children whose clinicians have documented a need for that kind of sensory support.

Both options are the same Cubby Bed families trust. The difference is in what's been clinically documented as necessary for your child specifically.

Why this matters

We've always believed that the right tool should match the right need. When we moved to a single integrated configuration, we heard, clearly, that this approach wasn't working for every family. Coverage decisions, documentation requirements, and clinical recommendations don't look the same for every child. They shouldn't have to.

The families and clinicians who pushed us on this were right. This change is entirely because of you, and we're grateful for every conversation, email, and piece of direct feedback that made it happen.

How to get started

If you're already working with a medical supplier and clinician toward a Cubby Bed, they'll now have the ability to request the configuration that best matches your child's documented needs.

If your child's documentation supports the standalone configuration and you weren't able to get the Dream Hub Accessory before, your medical supplier can now request a quote for that configuration and move forward from there.

If you're just starting the process, our care team is here to help you understand your options and connect you with the right support. Start by completing our funding quiz to get guidance on next steps, or visit CubbyBeds.com to learn more.

We're proud of this community for speaking up. This is what it looks like when families, clinicians, and a company decide to get it right together.
