Disposal instructions
Confirm end of use:
- Make sure the item is no longer in use or needed by any family member.
- Remove any tags, paperwork, or accessories that may include personal or medical info.
- Use scissors to remove labels
Clean the Item (follow Cubby cleaning directions for significant soiling):
- Wipe down all surfaces with household cleaner or disinfectant.
- Let it fully dry before handling further.
Destroy the Product - To make sure the product cannot be reused or resold:
Canopy destruction
- Cut or tear all zippers with scissors or a box cutter.
- Using sharpie, write “Scrap” on canopy roof
Safety Sheet destruction
- Cut or tear zipper with scissors or a box cutter.
- Using sharpie, write “Scrap” on sheet surface
Tech Hub destruction
- Cut the Tech Hub electronics wires with scissors or a box cutter
- Using sharpie, write “Scrap” on the front and back Tech Hub housing surface
Frame destruction
- Remove all of the fasteners throughout the frame, and dispose of them
- Be careful while using tools—wear gloves and safety glasses if needed
Dispose of the remaining component
Once the product is fully destroyed:
- Bag remaining components and place them in the trash
- Stack or bundle larger parts (like broken wood or metal) for curbside bulk pickup or transport to a local landfill or recycling center
- Contact your local waste authority to confirm whether furniture parts can go out with regular trash or require special handling
